Cacti requires MySQL, PHP, RRDTool, net-snmp, and a webserver.

Requirements:

  • RRDTool 1.0.49 or greater, 1.4+ recommended
  • MySQL 5.x or greater
  • PHP 5.1 or greater
  • Web Server that supports PHP e.g. Apache or IIS

Follow this tutorial to install XAMPP in Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. Run the following commnd to install the SNMP and RRDtool.

apt install -y snmp php-snmp rrdtool librrds-perl

Run the following command to install Cacti on Ubuntu

sudo apt-get install cacti

Redhat/Centos Linux users

Run the following command:

yum install cacti

Fedora Linux users

Run the following command:

dnf install cacti
