Firefox Quantum Is Now Available For All Ubuntu versions

Firefox quantum is now available for all supported ubuntu version. According to Mozilla, Firefox Quantum is over twice as fast as Firefox from 6 months ago. Firefox Quantum uses less memory than the other browsers.

Powered by a new, cutting-edge engine, Firefox has stated that it has doubled up the speed of the browser from last year. Meanwhile, Firefox Quantum’s new engine uses 30% less memory than Chrome drastically reducing the load of your system.

To update you need to run the following command:

update-manager -d

After this your ubuntu will start updating usingthe Software Updater to check for the update. There you will notice the 57.0 too in the update list.

Or update using alternative command:

udo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade
