How To Install Spotify In Ubuntu & Linux Mint

We assume that you are long fan of Spotify and want to install it on Ubuntu or into your Linux Mint based systems. Here we will be guiding you to install Spotify into your respective linux systems.

Guide to install Spotify in Ubuntu 14.04, 14.10 & Linux Mint 17 based systems.

1)Open a terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) and use the following commands:

sudo sh -c 'echo "deb stable non-free" >> /etc/apt/sources.list.d/spotify.list'

sudo apt-key adv --keyserver --recv-keys 94558F59

2)Update and install Spotify client.

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install spotify-client

Even after installing Spotify, you might not be able to use it due to its unavailability in your  country. We have solution for this problem too. With the help of a DNS service such as Unlocator you can access restricted contents in your country including Spotify, Netflix Hulu etc.
