Run the terminal to add the keyring:

wget -qO - https://download.sublimetext.com/sublimehq-pub.gpg | sudo apt-key add -

Now, Run the following command to add the apt repository.

echo "deb https://download.sublimetext.com/ apt/stable/" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/sublime-text.list

Now, Install Sublime Text in Ubuntu.

sudo apt update && sudo apt install sublime-text

Alternative Method ( Via Snap)

Sublime Text editor is already available in the Ubuntu software center. You can search it and install it from the software center.

For Ubuntu 16.04, You need to install the snap at first. After installing snap, install Sublime Text editor:

sudo apt install snapd 
sudo snap install sublime-text
