VLC 3.0.2 Released : How To Install On Ubuntu 18.04

Latest version of vlc media player has been released. VLC 3.0.2 is out now with many improvements and 150+ bug fixes.

Some of the improvements are:

VLC 3.0.2 include:

  • Fix snapshotting with subtitles when using hardware acceleration

How to Install VLC 3.0.2 in Ubuntu:

You can easily install VLC player via snap in Ubuntu. Meanwhile, if you are obsessed with command line installation then execute the following command:

snap install vlc --classic

For users who don’t have snap installed in other version of Ubuntu except Ubuntu 18.04 then you need to have it first.

sudo apt-get install snapd snapd-xdg-open
